Hi and thank you for visiting my website today. My name is Anita Grist and Kentish is my middle name, which has historically passed down through my family. I was born and live in Kent.

Kentish HR was formed in 2015.

I have gained 20 years of experience working in HR roles including as a Regional Employment Consultant for one of the UK’s largest HR consultancy firms in the UK. I hold a Certificate in Personnel in Practice, a Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management and I am a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Other accolades are:

Won award at Kent HR Conference for 75% reduction in long-term sickness absence levels. Achieved through assessment and implementation of tighter controls.

100% success rate at Employment Tribunal. This is testament to my attention to detail around employment law when dealing with HR matters.

My mission is to support local businesses and employees with specialist HR issues with an honest, trustworthy and pragmatic approach and to be known as the trusted HR expert that people can go to for straight-talking no-nonsense advice that makes a difference.

There will always be challenges in the workplace due to the nature of people and how people respond well, or not so well, to rules, procedures and following instruction. Staff will naturally have different levels of skills and abilities and sometimes opposing personalities and these can all be difficult to manage.
